This was the first
day that we brought our GTi home. At $500 for the car, we didn't
think that it would be a bad idea to pick this bad boy up. As
you can tell by the pictures, it was already equipped with some
great hubcaps! Actually, those were the first things to go.
The car did not run whenever we got it. It would start up with
some help from some carb cleaner in the throttle body but to
keep it on you would have to rev the engine up or else it would
die. We have big plans for this baby. We are going to give it
a nice paint job, wheels, suspension work, and a nice interior.
We are not planning on doing anything over the top when it comes
to the engine but maybe a 16v swap is in it's future. This is
going to be a slow process so stick with us and check back frequently
for updates. |
