These are some pictures
from the day after we finished the interior. The carpet was
really faded so we went to Lowe's and got about 6 cans of the
$.98 spray paint cans in black and spray paint the whole carpet
with all the interior out. We know, this is the ghetto way,
but it really did work out pretty nice. We sprayed most of the
other stuff with either black glossy spray paint or the plasti-dip.
We used pasti-dip on most the the parts that would be handled
more often. We also gave the car a really good vacuuming and
then reprayed the GTI emblems on the floor mats red.
We will be running all the cabling for the radio and speakers
soon as the cabling in the the car when we bought it was crap.
Also, there were tons of wires everywhere that really didn't
go to nothing so we have been cleaning up things here and there.
We are also going to be keeping our eyes out for a good upolstery
shop that might want to help us out with our seats on the car,
as you can tell, some of the seats are worn and torn. They are
going to need to be repaired so we will keep everyone updated
on that as well. |
